REBEL RALLY The SCJH XC teams hosted their second and final home meet of the year on Saturday September 23. The Rebel Rally had a 6 team field competing. After rains on Thursday and Friday, the course was the softest it has been for a home meet. The Girls race was first to be contested. Norah Rorem ran a very strong race to finish 2nd in a 28 runner field. Norah's time was 14:04. She was followed by Darilis Knobloch (15:24 - 6th), Kaylee Goerks (17:21 - 14th), Cloie Jones (19:53 - 24th), Brailynn Galli (21:34 - 16th) and Natalie Dyken (21:48 - 27th). Cloie's time was a new PB time for her by 35 seconds. The Girls finished 3rd out of 4 full teams just missing 2nd by 1 point. Evan Knobloch continued his excellent season winning the Boys race by 1 minute and 16 seconds. His time for the two mile run was 11:38 breaking his old course record by 10 seconds. He was followed by Hunter Ely (14:16 - 10th), Jackson Smith (14:25 - 11th), Will Denton (14:33 - 12th), Erik Knobloch (16:13 - 23rd), Aidan Grinnell (16:51 - 25th), Edward Bickett (17:08 - 27th) and Levi Sparks (17:09 - 28th). Aidan, Edward and Levi all set new PB with their times. The Boys team finished 2nd out of the 5 full teams despite being projected to finish 3rd. The Boys race had 38 finishers.
